Because I am the only naturopathic doctor in my clinic and your primary care physician should be reachable 24/7, I ask that you have a separate designated primary care physician. Your PCP can be an MD or an ND, I am happy to work alongside with either one to bring you well-rounded care. Even if I’m not your designated PCP, I can still order labs/imaging and prescribe medications as needed.
The first naturopathic care visit lasts approximately 75 minutes. This gives us time to go in depth in to your current symptoms and health concerns, along with your health history. I’ll perform a physical exam. Afterwards, we’ll talk about the options for next steps.
Often times, I’ll review or request your records if you’ve had recent labs or imaging, or I’ll order labs or imaging. We’ll also discuss the options for some treatments you can start right away, such as dietary changes, exercise or stress management techniques or home self-care tricks. I include a free food intolerance evaluation with every new patient visit, so we will complete the quick blood draw needed for this should you choose to.
Yes, I am currently accepting new patients with a limited number of insurance companies. If I am not currently accepting your insurance, we can discuss the options for how we may still be able to work together. If your insurance accepts out-of-network claims, you may be able to submit a superbill to be reimbursed for all or a portion of your office visits. I offer a discount to patients with Medicare, Tricare and Medicaid.
Yes, in different ways. I am licensed as a naturopathic physician in the state of Washington only. If you’d like to travel to my clinic in Bellingham, then yes, absolutely! If you’d like to work together remotely through video conferencing, I cannot legally provide medical advice, but schedule a free 15 minute phone consult so we can discuss how I may still be able to help you reach your health goals!
